McDonald’s Restroom Offender Receives 8-Year Sentence

Date:

A Wythenshawe man named Christopher Taylor, aged 46, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for an incident that occurred in a McDonald’s restroom in Rawtenstall. In June, Taylor engaged in inappropriate behavior in front of an 11-year-old boy who was washing his hands in the restroom. The act violated a sexual harm prevention order that restricted Taylor to using individual cubicles in public toilets.

Following the incident, the boy informed his mother, prompting an investigation that led to Taylor’s arrest in Manchester with the help of CCTV footage tracking his car. Taylor, previously residing in Tenterden Walk, Wythenshaw, Manchester, appeared in court at Preston Crown Court for sentencing.

Taylor admitted guilt to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 13 and breaching the sexual harm prevention order during a prior court hearing. Detective Constable Adam Rainsbury of Burnley CID condemned Taylor’s actions, emphasizing the importance of upholding the law and protecting vulnerable individuals from such behavior. The extended prison sentence given to Taylor serves as a deterrent against similar misconduct.
