Shocking footage from a police body camera captured the moment when a married teacher confessed to enticing an 11-year-old student into her home under the guise of “play dates” in her own bed.
The teacher, Alley Bardfield, aged 34, was taken into custody after admitting to engaging in sexual activities with the underage boy on the bed she shared with her husband. Recent bodycam footage revealed Bardfield’s brief 12-word confession when questioned by the arresting officer about her actions towards the young boy. Additionally, it was disclosed in court that Bardfield had sent over £500 to the teen over several months and exchanged nude photos with him on Snapchat.
When asked why she sent explicit images to the boy, Bardfield claimed he persistently asked for them and wouldn’t stop bothering her. She also shifted blame onto the young boy, alleging that he had made advances towards her and was responsible for the situation. The boy’s parents grew suspicious of their son’s behavior at home, leading them to discover his visits to Bardfield’s residence in Mount Zion, Illinois, which she referred to as “play dates,” one of which culminated in a sexual encounter.
Upon confronting their son about the messages found on his phone, the parents learned of the illicit activities and promptly notified the authorities. Subsequently, the mother took the boy to the hospital for a rape kit examination after his disclosure in April 2024. A joint effort between the family and law enforcement was initiated to gather evidence against Bardfield through incriminating text messages and recorded calls with the student.
During their communication, the boy expressed his desire to see Bardfield again upon his return, to which she responded affirmatively. Police obtained a court order for wiretapping, capturing a conversation where Bardfield mentioned her inability to conceive and agreed to engage in further inappropriate activities with the victim.
Having admitted to predatory criminal assault against a minor, Bardfield was terminated from her role as a supply teacher and is awaiting sentencing on September 25. The school issued a statement emphasizing student safety as their paramount concern and confirmed collaboration with local law enforcement to ensure support for students and staff members.
