“Kansas City Couple Saves Girl on Roller Coaster”

Date:

A couple at an amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri, sprang into action to save a little girl when her seatbelt malfunctioned on a high-speed roller coaster. Chris and Cassie Evins, parents of four children, were riding the Mamba coaster when they heard the girl’s distressing screams. Acting quickly, they held onto the girl to prevent her from falling out of her seat as the ride continued.

The theme park confirmed that a secondary restraint system was in place and that the ride was immediately shut down after the incident for a safety inspection. Modifications were made to ensure the ride meets all safety standards before reopening.

In a statement, the park emphasized that the lap bars are the primary restraint and that seat belts act as a secondary measure. Multiple inspections showed no signs of failure in the restraints, and additional safety checks were conducted to address any concerns.

The park assured guests that the ride underwent thorough safety reviews by the Fire Marshall to ensure compliance with safety regulations before reopening.
