During a conversation on Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston’s Heart Breakfast Show, Joel’s comment about not being together with his wife caught the hosts off guard. He quickly clarified that they were still happily married, dispelling any confusion.
Reflecting on his past experiences, Joel recalled preparing for the National Television Awards just days before welcoming his son. He humorously mentioned having an “escape route” in case his wife went into labor during the event, highlighting the balancing act of hosting and family responsibilities.
The discussion also touched on this year’s nominations, with Amanda expressing skepticism about Britain’s Got Talent’s chances against Strictly Come Dancing in the Talent Show category. She suggested that Claudia Winkleman could potentially break Ant and Dec’s winning streak in the Best Presenter category.
