Good news for Freeview TV owners as a surprise change is set to happen on September 4 with the return of a festival channel. GREAT! Christmas will be replacing GREAT! Romance for the upcoming months, offering viewers movies and shows with a festive theme.
Besides airing on Freeview, the new channel will also be available on Sky and Virgin Media, with channel numbers as follows: Freeview – channel 52, Sky – channel 319, and Virgin Media – channel 424.
Upcoming listings for GREAT! Christmas include a lineup of festive treats such as “Road to Christmas,” “Love You Like Christmas,” and “Deck the Heart,” as reported by Mirror Online.
Steve Hornsey, Narrative Entertainment’s Vice President of Movies and Entertainment, expressed excitement about the return of GREAT! Christmas, stating that the channel was a favorite among Brits last year. He mentioned that the early start to the festive season is well-received by many, providing viewers with a warm and joyful Christmas experience.
Viewers may need to retune their Freeview TVs once the channel launches, but it is expected that GREAT! Christmas will automatically appear on the planner. The channel is set to go live on Thursday, September 4.
