CBC’s reality series, “The Assembly,” is set to launch its second season, featuring six fresh celebrity interviews alongside a diverse cast of over 30 neurodivergent and autistic adults posing the questions. Notable stars like Hudson Williams, Zach Galifianakis, and Jay Baruchel will be among the guests in the spotlight.
The upcoming season will showcase a range of personalities, including Ashley Callingbull, Lights, and Marie-Philip Poulin, engaging in unscripted, candid interviews that delve beyond typical promotional discussions and often touch on personal aspects. Previous seasons have seen guests like singer Jann Arden and comedian Howie Mandel sharing deeply personal stories and insights.

Originating from the French program “Les Rencontres du Papotin,” the concept has gained international popularity, featuring renowned figures like Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen in various adaptations.
Season one of “The Assembly” garnered critical acclaim, receiving accolades such as a Canadian Screen Award, Telly Awards, and a Golden Sheaf Award. The show’s return promises to deliver more heartfelt conversations and authentic moments, resonating with viewers’ desire for genuine human connections.
Produced by Vancouver-based Small Army Entertainment, the second season of “The Assembly” premieres on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on CBC TV and CBC Gem. Exclusive “producer’s cuts” will be available for streaming on CBC Gem starting at 9 a.m. ET on the same day.
