“Darts Prodigy Beau Greaves Eyes Premier League Debut”

Date:

Darts prodigy Beau Greaves has expressed her willingness to join the Premier League if the opportunity arises. The 21-year-old gained attention after defeating Luke Littler en route to the World Youth Final last month, sparking discussions about her potential ascent.

Renowned five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld has suggested that an impressive performance at the upcoming PDC World Championship could secure Greaves a place among the eight Premier League players. The previous year’s victor, Luke Humphries, was joined by notable names like Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Michael van Gerwen, and Chris Dobey.

Despite feeling uncertain about her Premier League prospects, Greaves expressed excitement at the possibility. She humbly acknowledged the positive feedback she has received, stating, “It’s just nice – they don’t have to say that sort of stuff. It’s sweet for me. I watched all these players growing up.”

Regarding her recent victory over Littler, Greaves admitted, “When I beat Luke, it did give me a big confidence boost. I suppose I’ve just lacked confidence over the years, and I’ve got a little bit of it now.” Her next challenge includes facing Michael van Gerwen in the Grand Slam of Darts televised match in Wolverhampton.

Greaves aims to disprove skepticism about women’s darts abilities, including past doubts she shared. With a newfound belief since obtaining her Tour Card, she is focused on enjoying the game without putting excessive pressure on herself.

The determined darts player emphasized her readiness to compete against anyone, highlighting her confidence in her skills and the importance of timing in achieving success.
