“Comedian Nathan Fielder’s New Documentary Exposes Elizabeth Holmes’ Fall”

Date:

Nathan Fielder, the well-known comedian and filmmaker from Vancouver, has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming project following the latest season of “The Rehearsal.” The project is a documentary focusing on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, who was convicted of fraud in 2022 due to false claims about revolutionary blood testing technology. Fielder’s documentary, named “You Can See Everything,” co-created with filmmaker Lance Oppenheim, delves into the period leading up to Holmes’s imprisonment in 2023.

Lance Oppenheim, known for works like “Spermworld” (2024) and “Some Kind of Heaven” (2020), collaborated with Fielder on this project. Fielder gained recognition through his show “Nathan For You,” in which he humorously provides misguided business advice. The documentary, backed by A24, showcases a distinctive visual style and tone in its trailer.

The trailer features a gripping exchange between Holmes and Fielder, where Holmes insists on her honesty, prompting a skeptical response from Fielder. The surprise screening of the trailer at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado garnered positive reactions from critics, with some describing it as a groundbreaking and provocative piece of work.

Notable figures in the industry, such as film director Daniel Howat and music producer Erik Nordgren, praised the documentary for its unique and compelling narrative. The buzz surrounding Fielder’s latest project has drawn comparisons to his past on-screen interactions, like the memorable interview with former CBC president Hubert T. Lacroix.

“You Can See Everything” is scheduled for release in theaters next month, promising an insightful and captivating exploration of the Elizabeth Holmes saga.
