A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, faces charges related to an investigation into the transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have accused him of exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiring to commit a serious offense. The individual recently appeared in a Kitchener court for a bail hearing.
The case stems from a probe initiated by the Waterloo Regional Police Service in September 2025, following the arrest of a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge at Hong Kong International Airport. She was found with 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her luggage. In a recent development, local law enforcement, with the assistance of various partners, apprehended a man from Markham, Ontario, believed to be linked to the alleged drug network. This network reportedly aided in the Cambridge woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities diligently pursuing leads and gathering evidence.
