“British Tennis Star Jack Draper Ends Season Early After Arm Injury”

Date:

Jack Draper has concluded his season prematurely due to an arm injury, which compelled the British tennis No. 1 to pull out from the US Open. Draper, aged 23, disclosed that he struggled with pain during Wimbledon and subsequently faced a month-long inability to serve.

Despite managing just one singles victory at the US Open, Draper withdrew before the second round due to “bone bruising” in his left humerus. While he won’t require surgery, Draper has decided to end his season to allow proper healing for the injury.

This setback dashes Draper’s hopes of debuting at the Nitto ATP Finals and participating in the lucrative Six Kings Slam exhibition in Saudi Arabia. The event, scheduled for October 15-18, was set to feature top players vying for substantial prize money, with last year’s champion, Jannik Sinner, earning an impressive £4.5 million.

Draper, who had a strong start to the season with wins at the Australian Open and Indian Wells, reached a career-best world No. 4 ranking in June. However, his arm issues led to disappointing exits from Roland Garros and Wimbledon, hindering his progress.

Expressing disappointment over the injury, Draper stated on social media that he must rest his arm and will be sidelined for the remainder of 2025. Despite the setback, he remains determined to return stronger and fulfill his potential as a player, thanking his supporters for their backing and expressing eagerness to resume competition soon.
