“Apple Unveils iOS 26 with Liquid Glass Design & Call Screening”

Date:

Apple has had a hectic week as it announced the upcoming launch of iOS 26. The new operating system promises a fresh Liquid Glass design, enhancing the overall appearance with a glossy and futuristic look. Among the updates are a revamped home screen featuring a dynamic clock that adjusts based on the content and 3D wallpapers.

Liquid Glass also introduces customization options for app icons and widgets, offering a transparent aesthetic for seamless integration with the background. Additional features include improved messaging, instant language translation, and a new gaming experience on the iPhone.

One standout feature in iOS 26 is Call Screening, which prevents unknown numbers from disturbing users until the caller confirms their identity. Once the caller provides information to Apple’s Intelligence, a message appears on the screen indicating the purpose of the call, giving users the choice to accept or block it.

With the rising issue of unwanted calls, Call Screening is seen as a valuable addition by Apple. The update also includes Hold Assist to alert users when a call center agent picks up, and a feature in the Messages app that categorizes texts from unknown numbers into a separate folder.

Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering, highlighted the significance of iOS 26’s design enhancements and feature upgrades, emphasizing a more personalized and expressive user experience. The integration of Apple Intelligence aims to streamline tasks and enhance usability across the system, providing users with more efficient ways to accomplish tasks.
