Jena Sims, the spouse of renowned LIV Golf champion Brooks Koepka, has revealed the heartbreaking news of the loss of their unborn child. Sims, aged 36, shared on Instagram that at 16 weeks into her pregnancy, the baby’s heartbeat had ceased.
The distressing event has deeply affected both Jena and Brooks, yet she aims to raise awareness for other couples facing pregnancy loss. “We discovered at 16 weeks that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” Sims expressed. “This is an unexpected sorrow for any parent. Despite our devastation, we hold onto hope for Crew to have a sibling in the future.”
Sims emphasized the silent struggles often faced by women and couples dealing with pregnancy loss or infertility, advocating for further research and support in women’s reproductive health. She urged those going through similar challenges to remember they are not alone.
In the midst of her personal sadness and advocacy efforts, Sims also acknowledged the healthcare professionals who regularly deliver heartbreaking news in such circumstances. She commended the doctors and nurses who handle these situations daily, recognizing the immense difficulty of their roles.
Her Instagram post garnered over 20,000 likes and more than 800 comments within the initial 19 hours, with notable figures like reporter Amanda Balionis and influencer Paige Spiranac expressing their support.
Sims, known for her work as an actress and model, met Brooks at the 2015 Masters before the couple, who got married in 2022, welcomed their son, Crew, in 2023. She praised her husband as an exceptional father, particularly after the challenges they faced when Crew was born prematurely in 2023, leading to a long period of medical treatment for him.
Reflecting on fatherhood, Koepka shared, “Having a son has shifted my perspective on life, not just in golf. Golf used to be everything to me, but having Crew has truly changed my outlook.”
In the recent LIV Golf season, Koepka achieved two top-10 finishes, with a notable second-place result in Singapore. However, his performance in the major tournaments varied, with three missed cuts and a T12 finish in the US Open. In his most recent competition, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, Koepka finished T15.
As the upcoming 2025/26 season approaches, Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering savings of £192 and over 1,400 live matches including Premier League and EFL games. Sky plans to broadcast at least 215 live Premier League matches next season, a significant increase from previous seasons.
