Bargain expert Jordon Cox shared a money-saving hack on how to uncover an expiration date for deals at Tesco using a “secret code.” Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly offers money-saving tips on social media.
In a recent video, Jordon highlighted that products on Clubcard Price promotion feature a specific six-digit number indicating the offer’s end date. By decoding the number in reverse order and grouping it into twos, shoppers can determine the expiration date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year.
This revelation coincides with Tesco’s reminder to customers to redeem £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers before November 30. Shoppers earn Clubcard points for every pound spent on groceries in-store or online, fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations, Tesco Mobile expenses, Tesco credit card transactions, and using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
Accumulating a minimum of 150 points allows customers to receive a £1.50 Clubcard voucher for use at Tesco, with over 24 million UK households currently benefitting from the Tesco Clubcard program.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director Shama Wilson emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard vouchers, highlighting the substantial value they hold. The potential rewards from these vouchers, if fully utilized, could include millions of cinema tickets at Cineworld or substantial food discounts at PizzaExpress. It is advisable for customers to check the Tesco app for any expiring vouchers to maximize their benefits.
