Sky has surprised viewers with the announcement of the revival of its well-loved channel, Sky One. The popular platform, which was closed down in 2021, is set to make a comeback later this month. Sky promises a lineup of engaging comedy and entertainment programs, including new series like “The Dyers’ Caravan Park” and “Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.”
Fans can also look forward to returning favorites such as “Rob & Romesh Vs..” and “Ted,” along with the addition of “Saturday Night Live UK” launching later this year. Sky One, now residing on channel 106, merges the content previously offered on Sky Showcase and Sky Max, providing a consolidated hub for premium entertainment.
Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, stated, “Our aim is to enhance the viewing experience for Sky TV customers by offering a diverse range of beloved shows. Drawing from the esteemed legacy of Sky One, the channel promises to be a dynamic destination featuring new Sky Originals, returning favorites, and serving as the exclusive home for the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.”
The rebranded Sky One will debut on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24, marking its return. This development coincides with Sky’s announcement of a major upcoming event, hinting at exciting changes for Sky TV. Amid speculations about the nature of these developments, Mirror Online will be covering the event in London’s West End, providing real-time updates as the news unfolds. The event is scheduled to commence at approximately 10 am on February 11.
