A new channel has recently debuted on Freeview, providing viewers with an array of entertainment options. Previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media, TLC is now available to Freeview users at no additional cost. TLC offers a mix of reality shows, comedy, and movies, including popular titles like Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress.
In addition to its existing content, TLC is expanding its programming to include a variety of sitcoms and blockbuster films. Freeview subscribers can now enjoy shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster movies like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
To access TLC on Freeview, users may need to perform a quick retune, with the channel now airing on channel 12. Freeview has announced upcoming changes to its channel lineup, with Quest moving to Ch17 and Really shifting to Ch44 to accommodate TLC.
However, not all news is positive as Freeview has confirmed the closure of HGTV, resulting in the removal of shows like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform. Other channels being discontinued include God TV and India Today.
The channel reshuffle coincides with Freeview’s initiative to streamline its offerings and enhance viewer experience. Additional channels, such as TLC+1, have been introduced, while existing channels like Quest and Really have been relocated to optimize channel placement. Viewers are encouraged to stay tuned for these changes and enjoy the refreshed content lineup on Freeview.
