Samsung is set to unveil its latest portable projector, the Freestyle+, at the upcoming CES tech show in Las Vegas. Serving as an upgraded version of the original Freestyle projector released in 2022, the Freestyle+ boasts enhanced AI capabilities, brighter visuals, and an expanded range of entertainment options.
One notable improvement in the Freestyle+ is its simplified user experience. With Samsung’s AI OptiScreen technology, users can effortlessly power on the projector and enjoy optimized visuals without manual adjustments. This innovative feature automatically adapts the image to different surfaces, eliminating the need for setting tweaks and allowing for convenient viewing experiences, whether it’s streaming Netflix or watching Disney+ content.
The AI OptiScreen technology introduces several intelligent functions to improve image quality under various lighting and surface conditions. These include 3D Auto Keystone for correcting image distortions on uneven surfaces and Real-time Focus to maintain sharp picture quality even when the projector is moved.
Additional features such as Screen Fit, which adjusts image size for compatible projector screens, and Wall Calibration, which enhances image clarity based on surface characteristics, further enhance user convenience and image quality.
Designed for portability, the Freestyle+ is equipped with a built-in speaker, supports Wi-Fi connectivity, and provides access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. According to Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, the Freestyle+ aligns with Samsung’s vision of creating adaptable displays for modern lifestyles, offering a seamless viewing experience wherever users go.
While pricing details are yet to be announced, the Freestyle+ is anticipated to hit stores early in 2026, catering to consumers seeking a versatile and high-quality viewing solution.
