“Coronation Street Star Lisa George Finds Love After Transformation”

Date:

Coronation Street’s Lisa George, who played Beth Tinker on the well-known ITV soap opera for a span of 13 years from 2011 to 2024, has entered into a romantic relationship with a prosperous financial advisor subsequent to undergoing a significant body transformation and surgery.

The 52-year-old actress opted for a Blepharoplasty surgery earlier this year after years of dissatisfaction with her appearance. She has now discovered happiness with her boyfriend, Martin, who is a financial advisor.

Reports indicate that Lisa is flourishing in her new relationship. A source shared, “Lisa is at her best both in looks and in spirits, and her romantic life is thriving with Martin. They are enjoying each other’s company immensely. Although it’s still early days, he has been accompanying her to various events.”

This newfound happiness was evident as the couple made their first public appearance together at a recent event in Manchester. They attended the Manchester Awards at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, where Lisa dazzled in a stunning gold dress.

In early last year, before bidding farewell to Coronation Street, Lisa sought advice from a leading facial surgeon in Manchester, especially as she was dealing with insecurities about her appearance. During that time, she admitted to using specific makeup techniques on screen to hide her eyelid concerns.

Lisa, born in Grimsby, has also experienced significant health improvements over the past year due to a surgical intervention. Apart from pursuing two history diplomas, Lisa, who participated in Dancing On Ice in 2020, has been managing a medical condition that has caused partial blindness in one eye and lack of peripheral vision in the other.

Following years of uncertainty, Lisa was diagnosed with NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy), leading to periods of vision loss since 2016, with a recurrence in 2022. In a recent exclusive interview with The Mirror, she mentioned, “I feel like my eyes have stabilized for now. I can see distant objects clearly, but struggle with reading. I rely on glasses for reading and driving, using varifocals for navigation.”

Recognizing the need to address her visual impairment, Lisa eventually underwent an £8,000 surgery after careful consideration of potential risks, including the looming threat of blindness. She also disclosed her rare genetic eye condition, NAION, which causes sudden vision loss due to inadequate blood flow to the optic nerve.

Despite her visual challenges, Lisa remains optimistic about her career prospects and the evolving inclusivity in the industry for individuals with disabilities. She recalled instances where her colleagues supported her during challenging moments, highlighting the importance of teamwork and understanding.
