“Twin Sisters Kill Mother in Shocking Crime”

Date:

Two teenage twin sisters committed a heinous act by killing their mother in a shocking incident that stunned law enforcement authorities. Jasimayh and Tasmiyah Whitehead, both 16 years old, were well-regarded students who had been raised by their mother, Nikki, and great-grandmother Della Frazier.

Nikki, at 25, met Robert Head, a 55-year-old truck driver, and the family moved to his home in Conyers, Georgia. However, Nikki’s bond with her daughters weakened as she frequently left them in the care of their great-grandmother for extended periods.

The twins spent a significant amount of time under their great-grandmother’s care while Nikki battled for custody. The thought of reuniting with their mother did not sit well with the girls.

On January 5, 2010, Nikki regained custody of her daughters against their wishes. Just over a week after returning to their mother’s home, the twins viciously murdered Nikki.

The girls claimed to have found their mother with multiple stab wounds in the bathtub. The police described the crime scene as one of the bloodiest they had encountered.

Although Nikki’s partner was cleared of suspicion, bite marks on the twins, believed to have been inflicted by their mother during the incident, led the authorities to suspect them.

Despite initially pleading not guilty to the charges in May 2010, Tasmiyah eventually confessed to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in January 2014. Her sister also confessed the following month, leading to both receiving 30-year prison sentences.

Tasmiyah was incarcerated at Arrendale State Prison, while Jasmiyah began serving her sentence at Pulaski State Prison.
