Apple is set to release iOS 26 next week, offering users a range of new features for their iPhones. The update, announced at the WWDC showcase in June, will debut on September 15. Once installed, iOS 26 will bring a fresh look named Liquid Glass, providing a glossy aesthetic. Notable additions include a revamped Lock Screen that adapts the clock to available display space, as well as a new feature called Call Screening to deter unwanted calls. Travelers will appreciate the real-time translation capability for calls and texts. While the exact release time is undisclosed by Apple, past patterns suggest it may occur around 6pm. It’s important to note that not all iPhone models are compatible with iOS 26. Compatible devices include the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, and iPhone 11 series. The iOS launch announcement coincided with the iPhone 17 launch event.
