Rylan Clark and his colleague, Rob Rinder, encountered some friction while filming their award-winning travel documentary in India. The program explores India’s rich culture and diverse population through encounters with locals. Rylan, 36, shared that their filming experience had its ups and downs, revealing that his co-star was visibly frustrated at times.
Describing a hectic start to the trip, Rylan recounted being bitten by a mosquito on the face and having a swollen cheek resembling a golf ball after minimal sleep. He likened the chaotic experience of riding a tuk-tuk in India to a scene from the animated show, “Wacky Races.”
Despite the challenges, Rylan emphasized his deep friendship with Rob, even though they had moments of disagreement during filming. Rob humorously likened himself to a patient headmaster dealing with a mischievous student.
Addressing persistent rumors, Rylan clarified that he and Rob were not romantically involved, dismissing reports of engagement and fake wedding photos. Rylan also disclosed his new relationship with Kennedy Bates, a fairground entrepreneur, following his split from Dan Neal in 2021.
Recent sightings of Rylan and Kennedy together at Radio 2 In The Park showcased their affectionate bond, with onlookers noting their loving interactions and acceptance by Rylan’s family. The couple’s public appearances have fueled speculation about their relationship status.
The travel documentary featuring Rylan and Rob, titled “Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India,” is set to air on BBC Two on Sunday, September 14th, at 9 pm.
