Kate Ferdinand has been reunited with her stepchildren after moving to Dubai for a fresh start with husband Rio. The 34-year-old former TOWIE star shared glimpses of their new life in the glitzy city of Dubai, where they now reside in the upscale Al Barari community with their children, son Cree, four, and daughter Shae, two.
The couple also has Rio’s three children, Lorenz, 19, Tate, 17, and Tia, 14, from Rio’s first marriage to Rebecca Ellison, who passed away in 2015. While Lorenz and Tate are pursuing their football careers in the UK, they recently joined their father and Kate in Dubai for a family reunion.
Following their dad’s path, both teens are involved in football, with Lorenz signing his first professional contract with Brighton and Tate playing for the Under 18s team. Despite their football commitments, they took a break to spend time with their blended family in their new home, enjoying activities such as swimming in the Gulf and engaging in rigorous gym sessions.
Kate expressed her joy at the reunion, stating, “The best time being reunited with the boys. We’ve all missed them so much.” She also shared concerns about their move, particularly about their dog Ronnie’s health issues, revealing that Ronnie has been dealing with heart failure but is adapting well to the new environment.
The couple emphasized the significance of their move, with Kate stating, “A new chapter, a fresh start – because if we don’t try, we’ll never know.” The Ferdinands relocated from Bromley, where Rio worked as a pundit for TNT Sports before quitting to move overseas. Their new neighborhood in Dubai is home to other well-known personalities, including The Real Housewives of Dubai star, Caroline Stanbury, and her husband, former Real Madrid footballer Sergio Carrallo.
