If you own a TV with Freeview, it’s time to review your settings as the free-to-view service has announced several changes. Freeview has disclosed that on May 21, 2025, some broadcasters will be adjusting their channels.
One significant change is the introduction of a new channel on Freeview – High Street TV. This shopping platform, already available on Sky and Virgin Media, allows customers to shop for products around the clock. High Street TV highlighted its convenience, stating that customers can purchase products at their preferred time and place.
High Street TV can be found on channel 95. Additionally, three existing channels are undergoing name changes. That’s Dance (Ch 76) will be rebranded as That’s Pride, That’s Oldies (Ch 78) will become That’s Summer, and That’s Dance MCR (Ch 79) is now named That’s Pride MCR.
To ensure you receive the latest updates on your TV, you may need to perform an update. Freeview recommended retuning your TV to keep your channels and TV Guide current. Here are the steps to retune your devices:
– Press the menu button on your box or TV remote control.
– Select ‘set-up,’ ‘installation,’ ‘update,’ or a similar option. If prompted for a password, the default code is ‘1234’ or ‘0000.’
– Choose ‘first-time installation’ (sometimes labeled as ‘factory reset,’ ‘full retune,’ or ‘default settings’).
– Press ‘OK’ if asked to delete existing channels, and the retune process should begin automatically. Save the channels that are detected if prompted.
By following these steps, you can ensure your TV is up to date with the latest changes on Freeview.
