Carey Price is set to receive a warm welcome at the Bell Centre as he celebrates his Hall of Fame induction, honoring his illustrious NHL career primarily with the Montreal Canadiens. The team announced that Price will be returning to the Bell Centre on November 10 for the celebration, following his official induction into the Hall of Fame the day before.
Being inducted into the Hall of Fame will make Price the 62nd member of the organization to receive this prestigious honor. As part of the recognition, he will be included in the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, a special designation for former players who have reached the pinnacle of success in the hockey world.
Throughout his remarkable 15-year career, Price has been a stalwart presence in the Canadiens’ lineup, playing all his games for the team. With an impressive 251 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage over 712 career games, he holds the franchise records for most games played and most victories as a goaltender.
The celebration of Price’s achievements will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild. Additionally, Price’s career highlights include being a seven-time all-star and being selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Montreal Canadiens will commence their pre-season activities on September 19, with their regular season opener scheduled for September 29 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
