London authorities have pressed charges against a local massage therapist for sexual assault, suspecting the existence of additional unreported victims. The investigation commenced after a victim reported the incident on July 30, detailing a sexual assault during a treatment session the previous day. The 47-year-old suspect was apprehended shortly after, following a thorough inquiry by law enforcement.
Subsequently, two more individuals have stepped forward with similar accounts, leading to the filing of three additional charges of sexual assault against the accused. The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police on Monday, made a court appearance in London on Wednesday, and was granted release pending a future court date in August related to the accusations.
Operating a massage therapy establishment in the city center, the individual in question has been flagged to the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario by the authorities. Authorities suspect the possibility of more undisclosed victims and urge anyone with relevant information or who may have had encounters with the suspect under comparable circumstances to reach out to the London police. Confidential reports can also be made through Crime Stoppers.
