“Lib Dem MP Josh Babarinde Joins The Mirror’s Party Games Show”

Date:

A Political Correspondent named Sophie has been contributing to the Mirror since December 2022, focusing on UK politics, particularly prisons, the justice system, education, and online safety.

Get ready for some fun and games as I welcome another Member of Parliament (MP) on our show. After engaging with Labour MPs Dawn Butler and Carolyn Harris on our new show Party Games, which is available on The Mirror’s YouTube channel, this week we are thrilled to have our first Liberal Democrat guest, MP Josh Babarinde from Eastbourne.

In a time when MPs are facing increased intimidation and negativity, our show aims to engage in light-hearted and insightful games to reveal the personalities behind the politicians. I use a wheel of fortune to select the games for MPs, including activities like Hug, Marry, Avoid and Ask Me Anything.

During a recent segment of Two Truths and a Lie, Ms. Harris shared interesting anecdotes, including accidentally turning on the Christmas tree lights at No10 during Boris Johnson’s tenure and her past as a competitive ballroom dancer. You can catch this episode on YouTube.

In our latest episode, Mr. Babarinde showcases his hidden tattoo and discloses his experience bungee jumping with his adventurous party leader, Sir Ed Davey. The episode with Mr. Babarinde airs on The Mirror’s YouTube show at 6 pm on Sunday.

The program captures various memorable moments, such as a water park birthday celebration with friends, a group tattoo venture, joining the Liberal Democrats for a beer mat, and a unique sock choice at Windsor Castle. Additionally, Mr. Babarinde highlights the Liberal Democrats’ recent success in the elections and his dedication to campaigning for progressive change.

Party Games, a new show by The Mirror, offers a refreshing take on interacting with MPs through entertaining games and discussions. With games like “Would You Rather?” and “Never Have I Ever?”, the show aims to humanize politicians and provide viewers with a glimpse into their personal lives amid the challenges they face.

By featuring MPs in a casual and engaging setting, The Mirror’s show strives to bridge the gap between politicians and the public, fostering a deeper understanding of the individuals shaping the nation’s policies. Viewers can enjoy Party Games on YouTube for more entertaining and insightful episodes.
