“Mother Pleads Guilty to Neglect in Daughter’s Death”

Date:

A mother in West Virginia, Julie A Miller, has pleaded guilty to neglecting and starving her daughter, Kyneddi Miller, leading to the girl’s death. Kyneddi’s emaciated body was found in the family’s bathroom during a police welfare check in Morrisvale. Julie had withdrawn Kyneddi from school due to COVID-19 concerns but failed to provide proper care, resulting in the tragic outcome.

Julie A Miller admitted to the charge of causing the death of a child by a parent, guardian, or custodian. She is facing a potential prison sentence of up to 15 years and will be added to the Child Abuse and Neglect Registry. Julie’s parents, Donna Stone and Jerry Stone, are also implicated in the case, with Donna scheduled for trial in February 2026.

Investigators discovered that Kyneddi had minimal contact with the outside world during the years she was supposedly homeschooled by the family. Donna Stone claimed that Kyneddi had an eating disorder and had not been eating for months before her death, although it was determined that Julie had not provided her daughter with necessary care and sustenance.

The prosecution emphasized that Julie A Miller knowingly neglected her child’s essential needs, leading to the tragic outcome. The sentencing for this case is set for February 25, 2026, in Morrisvale, West Virginia.
