Tennis Legend Borg’s Prostate Cancer Battle Revealed

Date:

Tennis legend Bjorn Borg is set to reveal his battle with prostate cancer in his upcoming autobiography, as reported by sources in Sweden and Italy.

The book, titled “Heartbeat,” co-authored with his wife Patricia, is scheduled for release on September 18. It unveils Borg’s private struggle with the illness, which he had kept confidential until now.

Scheduled for distribution in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Latin America, the Netherlands, and Italy, the book’s release has been kept under wraps. Reports suggest that Borg is limiting media access and interviews related to the book.

Despite efforts to keep it confidential, the book appeared early on Italian online platforms, uncovering Borg’s health battle. The tennis icon, known for his dominance in the 1970s with five Wimbledon and six French Open victories, captivated audiences worldwide with his elegant playing style.

Gunilla Bergmark of Norstedts, the book’s publisher, expressed the significance of sharing Borg’s story, stating that the book has been highly anticipated. She praised Patricia for being the ideal person to narrate Borg’s journey.

In other news, Sky has discounted its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £336 and broadcasting over 1,400 live matches, including Premier League and EFL games. Sky plans to increase its live Premier League coverage to at least 215 matches next season.
