Darts prodigy Luke Littler has expressed confidence in the potential of Angry Ginge, a contestant on the reality show “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here,” to thrive in the wilderness. The 18-year-old, who shares a friendship with the internet star Morgan Burtwistle, hinted at a future excursion to Australia in jest.
A die-hard Manchester United supporter and popular online streamer, Burtwistle touched down at Brisbane airport this week in preparation for the show’s premiere on November 16. Ant and Dec are set to make their return to ITV screens on Sunday, with Burtwistle already favored by bookmakers to claim the jungle crown.
Meanwhile, Littler smoothly advanced to the knockout rounds of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, securing a decisive 5-1 victory over Daryl Gurney as he continues his title defense. While awaiting his next opponent in the Grand Slam, he eagerly anticipates the commencement of the reality series down under.
In an interview with SportsBoom, Littler expressed his belief that Angry Ginge, aged 23, will excel in the challenging jungle environment. He remarked, “I think he’s going to do very well. I’ve known him for a very long time. We’ll have to vote for him and see what culinary challenges he faces.”
Although Littler could be a strong contender for future seasons of the show, TV executives may need to offer a substantial sum to secure the talents of the darts sensation. When asked about the possibility of joining the jungle adventure, he responded, “Perhaps… If the offer is right. I might consider a brief visit.”
Angry Ginge made his grand entrance in Australia on Monday, greeted by enthusiastic fans and reporters ahead of the show’s kickoff. Despite admitting he will miss his cherished Manchester United and his mother, the witty contestant joked about his camping skills, gained from a Duke of Edinburgh bronze award at school.
Expressing concerns about Australia’s notorious wildlife, he expressed hopes for a secure hotel stay. In a YouTube video announcing his participation in the show, he optimistically predicted Manchester United’s success in his absence, wishing for the team to be in a strong position upon his return in early December.
