“British Woman Killed in Florida Fetish Website Tragedy”

Date:

In Florida, a British woman named Sonia Exelby, 32, from Portsmouth, was tragically killed after allegedly meeting Dwain Hall, 53, through a fetish website. The pair traveled to Reddick, about 100 miles northwest of Orlando, where Hall is accused of coercing Sonia to consent to harm in a recorded video at an Airbnb.

Investigative documents revealed that Sonia had left evidence on her computer suggesting suicidal intentions and a desire to be abused, tortured, or potentially murdered while in the US. Her remains were later discovered in a shallow grave in woodland in Marion County, where an autopsy confirmed she had been stabbed four times. Further evidence linked Sonia’s DNA to a knife found in a package sent to a friend of Hall’s in Ohio.

Following the discovery, Hall voluntarily went to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on the same day, where he initially denied meeting Sonia. However, he later admitted to communicating with her about her purported wish to be killed. Hall allegedly suggested taking Sonia to Alligator Alley where she could encounter wildlife that would harm her, implying violent intentions.

Hall was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, fraudulent credit card use, and unlawful transmission device use. He has pled not guilty and is set to appear in court on December 23. A social media post by a loved one of Sonia described her as a vulnerable individual who traveled from the UK to Florida days before her tragic death.
